Do not do this if you have problematic lower back or inflamed knees!
Kneel down with your feet apart so that your bottom rest on the floor or the cussion between your heels. As you exhale,lean back slightly and rest your hands on the floor behind you. You should feel a strong stretch through your legs.If you are flexible enough ,continue the stretch by resting your elbows on the floor and increasing the stretch. For the super flexible, if you can,lean all the way back so your spine touches the floor.
Stay in this position for the three breaths .
Get ready to get up in the same stages-first grasp your ankles,tucking your chin to chestand push up strongly on your elbows to bring your back of the floor.Than bend forward to counteract the back bend
Go down into position shown in this picture only if you have total confidence in your own flexibility. Don't strain to achieve this!!
